Basketball Ball Returns, ranked

7 products. Prices checked Oct 15, 2026.

How we ranked these

Ranked by spec fit for the use case: a solo shooter on a home hoop who wants to chase fewer rebounds without buying a full shooting machine. Criteria, in priority order:

  1. Coverage: products that return or stop misses as well as makes rank above make-only rim chutes.
  2. Compatibility: works with most hoops (rim clip) vs. requires a specific in-ground system.
  3. Return direction: adjustable/rotating returns rank above fixed returns.
  4. Price: cheaper wins ties.

We have not tested these products. Ranks reflect published specs and prices only. Full methodology.

    • Net bottom sets forward to roll balls back, or back to stop balls
    • All-welded steel, UV-protected netting
    • Rolls up into included carry bag

Price checked Oct 15, 2026 at Goalrilla (official). Specs from the source page.

  2. #2: Lifetime Ball Return Net (12347)

    Brand: Lifetime

    • Attaches under the backboard
    • Returns made shots and many misses
    • Weighted, all-weather narrow mesh
    • Designed for cemented in-ground Lifetime systems

Why #2: Cheapest product here that returns misses, but is designed for Lifetime in-ground systems, which limits compatibility.

  3. #3: Goalrilla Yard Guard

    Brand: Goalrilla

    • Installs on a Goalrilla goal
    • Over 12 ft wide and up to 9 ft tall (maker claim)
    • Keeps missed shots in the court rather than returning them

Price checked Oct 15, 2026 at Goalrilla (official). Specs from the source page.

  4. #4: Goalrilla Basketball Ball Return

    Brand: Goalrilla

    • Rim-mounted ramp rotates 180°

Price checked Oct 15, 2026 at Goalrilla (official). Specs from the source page.

  5. #5: SKLZ Kick Out

    Brand: SKLZ

    Best for: Lowest price

    • 360° chute returns made shots from anywhere
    • Clips to hoops without tools
